Call for Art Submissions: Peace Through My Eyes
National Art Competition
The Centre for Social Change (CSC) is proud to announce, “Peace Through My Eyes”, a national art competition for young artists between 14-24 years of age.
Theme: We invite you to use your creativity to express your vision of peace or social cohesion. What does it mean to you? Tell us through your artwork.
Competition Categories: Select any one form-
- Photography (minimum 8 megapixel)
- Painting (up to canvas size 2X2ft)
- Short Mobile Video (30 seconds up to 3 minutes)
Eligibility: Open to all young artists residing in Nepal, between 14-24 years of age.
Submission Process:
- One artist can apply for one category with one artwork only.
- Must explain artwork in less than 150 words (Nepali or English).
- Submit photos and short videos digitally to contact@socialchange.org.np
- YouTube or social media links for short videos will be also accepted.
- Only high-resolution images for painting will be accepted.
- Artists within Kathmandu valley are also welcome to submit their artwork in person at CSC office located at Baneshwor, behind APEX college, next to JAR restaurant. Interested artists from Kailali, Rupandehi, Bara and Sunsari districts can submit their artwork to CSC’s officer. Their contact is given below:

Selection Process:
- A distinguished panel of three independent judges along with CSC will judge and select the best artworks from each category.
- The top 15 shortlisted submissions in each category will be notified and will have the opportunity to display their art in the exhibition at Kathmandu.
- Shortlisted submissions will be a part of #peacethroughmyeyes social campaign to spread the message of peace and social cohesion.
- From the top 15, three winners in each category will be awarded, including certificates from the Centre for Social Change.
- Artworks submitted to the competition must not be published, or broadcast anywhere until the results are announced.

Social Media Campaign: Join #peacehroughmyeyes campaign which will feature artwork from the competition and high-school based workshops. We will share powerful messages of peace and visually compelling artworks to reach a wider audience and engage policymakers on issues related to peacebuilding some of the art products will be featured in CSC’s knowledge product.
Deadline for submission: The application deadline ends by 16 September 2024, 5.00 PM.
